Beef

Each May and June, we breed our dairy cattle, usually with a Dexter or Jersey Bull. When our Jersey cows give birth to bull calves, we keep them and raise them for beef.    We practice rotational grazing, giving the cows a fresh paddock every few days during the growing season. This not only means better nutrition and health for the cattle, but keeps our pastures in good shape, preventing manure build-up and reducing erosion.

No Farms No Food

All our cattle are grass-fed, with only the occasional pear or apple as a treat.  We do not feed grain. The cattle are also given free-choice loose minerals. We sell beef by the quarter, half or whole animal. Our beef will be available in the Fall; please contact us for more information.
